Just waiting for my steel-cut oats to finish cooking.
A slow start to a lazy Saturday. Going to go spend the afternoon with my grandson Ethan and then Tim and I are going to go see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Here are the pictures from our visit to Ice on Whyte last Sunday. They’re not the greatest; the light was bad. But, just to share what we saw. It was a beautiful day, glad we went.
- ice castle in the air
- Canada Goose
- This sculpture called ‘Fire and Ice” was going to be lift on fire from within at the wind up of the final day — we couldn’t stay to see it.
- First Place ice sculpture
- loved this lion!
- the detail on some is amazing
- a guardian
- places to keep warm
- a huge hit with the kids — frozen butts is all I could imagine
- spot lights were beginning to illuminate the sculptures for the coming evening

Wow, these are great, Kath! What an incredible amount of work. However, it’s one way to love having the cold!

Thanks, Cindy. They really are beautiful to look at. Can’t imagine how hard they are to make.

Thank you! I hate winter, but things like these make it bearable.
