Oh, dear Lord, I have no idea what happened, but it was terrible. 8 – 1 Boston.
It doesn’t get anymore embarrassing than that.
Apparently, I’m not very good at predicting outcomes.
So, I’m going to go with a positive spin and say that I got it backwards. The boys will make a comeback. They’ll beat Boston on Wednesday and take the game home to Vancouver to finish them off.
I’ll still be wearing my t-shirts. It’s only one game.
Vancouver is still leading the series 2 games to 1. Let’s not lose sight of that.
Okay, ’nuff said.
Good night.
I don’t know any terms of condolences suitable to hockey, so I’ll just say our local cover-all when our team loses at rugby “ai shame, sorry!” 🙂
Thanks, Cindym much appreciated. My despondency has lifted somewhat in the gray light of Alberta morning.
We’ll have to just keep the positive attitude, Kath. No matter what happens now, the guys have played incredibly well. Everything they’ve done has been spectacular. Let’s not forget all the great stuff they’ve shown N. America. May it continue!
You bet, Amy! These guys are a great bunch, and I have nothing but faith in them. Last night was just an ugly rout. I think Rome’s hit on Horton rattled the Canucks badly, while it super-charged Boston.
I don’t know anything about hockey but I get just as passionate about cricket!!!
I know nothing about cricket — except that it is growing hugely in popularity here. There was just a big story on CBC about a new cricket league in Edmonton.
