      Thanks Cindy — I think they’re a species of geranium, not sure, though. (I should look it up!)

    Another daisy fan. Is it because we are Albertans? I love them. I even mow around them – as I write, I have patches of them on my lawn. They came about 2 months late this year and there’s hardly any compared to other years.

      They are a happy little flower, and though I yanked most out (because they’re so damned invasive) I have left one or two clumps in the garden that I carefully manage.

    the peony has always fascinated me. largely because we don’t have cold enough winters, they are not common here.

      You’re very welcome! Besides being beautiful, peonies smell fabulous — I’m cutting a bunch today to have in the house — the only downside is that you often bring in ants along with the blooms!
