Day 21 — Monday, sigh, back to work. But, it went by quickly and, even though I indulged this weekend I was still down a pound when I stepped on the scale this morning. Yippee!
Day 20 — Twenty days of 2013. Holy bananas! Sunday was a lovely day. It was too cold to go grocery shopping so I didn’t. I baked bread instead. Yum.
Day 19 — Got a lovely new haircut, feeling like a new woman. Supper at the Keg to celebrate my brother’s 5oth birthday. My, we’re all getting old(er)!
Day 18 — It’s Friday! and, I’ve discovered that eating fresh grapefruit is a great appetite suppresant. Whoo, hoo!
Day 17 — Seems kinda redundant to write the date and then follow it with a day count. . . but I digress. Hmm, what was good about this day? It was quiet, the weather stayed mild and we didn’t get the freezing rain that was forecast.
Day 16 — A pretty blasé day, overall. Thankful and happy that the budget we slaved over got passed at our meeting last night. Done! For another year.
Day 15 — Wow! 15 days into the New Year. What’s memorable about today? Hmm. . . I guess it would have to be the beautiful weather — it was plus 7 today, balmy and sunny — a teaser of the Spring that’s still two and a half months away.
Day 14 — a kind of frustrating day today — hard to be excited about a new opportunity when it gets all screwed up, but. . . Tim made me supper tonight and it was delicious — roast chicken, brown rice and salad — yumm!
Day 13 — made the best New-York style cheesecake I’ve ever had! Better, even, than the stuff we got at Junior’s in New York. Also, had a fun visit with Landon, Jenn and the kids. UNO rocks!
The snow over our heads hasn’t fallen — yet. In fact, it has snowed more and the ‘sculptures’ at my front doorstep have continued to shift and change. Here’s there latest forms.
